"She's amazing" "She's a lovely person"

Imagine a world where you could say that about a person leading your city.

A person who also has serious credentials like 26 years of legal experience and 17 years of service to the City she aims to lead.

A person with such a broad skill set that you're not sure if the person you know from

*painting a beautiful mural in your downtown *supporting you after your family member died *hosting a television show that profiled empowering stories of positive politics *leading empowering fitness classes *advocating for patients at every level of your hospital system

is the same person running for mayor who wants to use all that experience to make your city function better.

Imagine a world where that person might be debated as maybe or maybe not a "viable candidate" in a municipal election because she would rather you spend your money donating to an important cause close to your heart than send her money for signs and campaign literature.

The way we have always done politics does not have to be the way we do politics going forward. We have to want it to be different.
